Alicia Southwell is a psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples and families at her home office in Weston. Alicia runs two ongoing support called “Women in Separation and Divorce.” The groups are for women in all stages of the divorce process, from contemplation through post-divorce. The groups take place on Mondays from 7-8:30 PM and Thursdays from 7-8:30 PM.
You are not alone in this, one of life’s most stressful and challenging transitions. If you are contemplating or navigating the divorce process, you may find that you are experiencing what can feel like an overwhelming range of emotions. Sharing your experience with others who are going through something similar can greatly reduce feelings of isolation, fear, confusion, sadness, anger, guilt, and shame, among others.
Divorce involves the loss of the dreams and the life that you had at one time imagined for yourself. These losses need to be mourned in order to successfully put the past in the past, get beyond the divorce, and move forward into your preferred life. This difficult period of ending also offers life-changing opportunities for new beginnings, personal growth, and getting the life you want for yourself.
Please call or email for more information or to set up a no-fee consultation, which is required before joining the group.
