Karl Topor, Esq. devotes the majority of his legal practice to Family and Matrimonial Law. He handles contested and uncontested cases. He does both litigation and mediation. He has acquired special advanced training in mediation and in Family Law. He has lectured on Family Law issues both on a local, state and national level.
Karl has been certified as a mediator of Family Law disputes in Massachusetts. He assists divorcing spouses as a mediator to settle their contested issues and disputes. He is also a certified Guardian ad Litem having been routinely involved in numerous contested cases requiring the need for a Guardian ad Litem’sinvestigation.
Karl also serves as a Parenting Coordinator in Massachusetts offering services in setting visitation schedules and helping facilitate other parenting issues for families.
Currently, Karl is in his third term as Co-President of The Divorce Center. He has practiced law since 1999. In addition to his Auburndale (Newton) office, he maintains a presence in the Framingham and Boston areas as well.
Windsor is a parent coordinator with a background in elementary and special education. She graduated with Honors from Harvard College where she studied Psychology and Sociology, and wrote her senior thesis on the Massachusetts Public School System. She earned her Masters Degree at Boston College in Elementary and Moderate Special Needs. Windsor has a history of putting the needs of children first, and can help parents make decisions quickly and with consensus. Windsor is a mother to children in elementary, middle and high school, so she is keenly aware of the decisions facing parents today with regard to scheduling, technology, and extra-curricular and summer activities. Her office is located in Wellesley Center, and she is available on nights and weekends, as well as during normal business hours.
With more than three decades of indispensable contributions to the legal sector, Vicki L. Shemin, J.D., LICSW, ACSW, has been recognized for her professional success as an attorney at Boston Law Collaborative, LLC, a multidisciplinary law firm notably devoted to an alternative conflict resolution orientation to the practice of law. (MCFM).
Attorney Shemin is also a Florida Supreme Court certified family law mediator, is credentialed as a certified family mediator by MCFM, has earned a 10.0 “excellent” AVVO rating, and has recently been inducted into the Worldwide Registry for her many accomplishments. She is also a founding member of the national organization, Academy of Professional Family Mediators; an Executive Board Member of MCFM; and co-chair of the Greater Boston Collaborative Law Practice Group.
