DIANE NEUMANN, J.D., M.A is the principal of Diane Neumann & Associates, the only full-service divorce mediation firm serving Boston area clients for 33 years. Diane has offices in Watertown, Newton, and the South Shore and will be opening a North Shore office. She began her mediation practice in 1981 and is recognized as one of the foremost mediators in the country. She is the author of two highly acclaimed books: Divorce Mediation: How to Cut the Cost and Stress of Divorce and Choosing a Divorce Mediator, published by Henry Holt & Co. Her experience as a licensed Massachusetts attorney, a couples and family counselor, a real estate broker, and an Internal Revenue Service Representative make her uniquely suited to help each client reach the best possible settlement. She is past president of Academy of Family Mediators and the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation. Diane is also an Advanced Practitioner of the Association of Conflict Resolution. In addition to her practice, she has been training mediators with John Fiske since the mid 1980s.
Ellen Waldorf, J.D., is the senior mediator. Along with Diane, Ellen specializes in the mediation of clients with complicated financial situations that require a high level of expertise with couples’ high income and complex assets. She clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Denver, Colorado.
Kirk Fallis, LL.M., began his association with the firm upon his relocation from California. He worked for the Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution, providing mediation and training to Massachusetts courts and government agencies. At Diane Neumann & Associates, he specializes in the mediation of all aspects of a divorce settlement.
Miriam Kosowsky, J.D. is a graduate of Harvard Law School, cum laude. Miriam was an attorney with Sullivan & Worcester, LLP in Boston where she litigated, negotiated, and settled business contractual and tort disputes for U.S. and international private and corporate clients. She provides mediation for a full divorce settlement.
Connie Rankins, J.D. is Diane’s mediation assistant. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and New England School of Law, cum laude. She worked in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court where she assisted in Bristol, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk and Worcester counties. Connie assists in all aspects of clients’ divorce mediation.
