Attorney Barnes has concentrated her practice on family law matters for nearly two decades. Attorney Barnes is dedicated to guiding her clients through difficult times and assisting them in resolving their family law matters through the use of mediation, collaborative law or negotiation in a litigated matter. In the event your case cannot be resolved, Attorney Barnes will guide you through the court process and provide zealous representation. Attorney Erin Charron is a founding member of Charron and Flaws, LLC and has been practicing family law for over a decade. In addition to representing clients in a variety of domestic relations issues, Ms. Charron is a certified court appointed conciliator through the Essex County Bar Association. Ms. Charron is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and a cum laude graduate of New England Law | Boston (formerly New England School of Law) (2004), where she was awarded the New England Scholar served as an executive case & note editor of the New England Law Review.
Attorney Charron is dedicated to helping people overcome challenging legal problems in the areas of family law and divorce. With over a decade of experience, she works diligently to protect client’s interests at all stages of the legal process. Attorney Marks has been practicing family law for over 30 years and believes hat a negotiated solution is preferable to one that is ordered by the Court. He is experienced in collaborative practice and is a member of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. He also offers mediation services through his own practice as well as through Mediation Works, Inc. and the North Shore Community Mediation Center. Additionally, he offers conciliation services through the Essex County and Salem Bar Associations. Attorney Marks is a presenter for the Divorce Center’s “Divorce Matters For You” North Shore workshops. He is also trained and experienced in Limited Assistance Representation.
Heather J. Smethurst is a family law attorney practicing in Essex and Middlesex Counties in Massachusetts and in Southern New Hampshire, is trained in Collaborative Law, Mediation, was a social worker prior to her legal career, is a court appointed conciliator and Attorney Representing Children through the Essex Probate Court, Limited Appearance Representation and is a Guardian ad Litem.

Patricia M. Watson is certified as a mediator by the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and has been a mediator for 19 years. She has been a practicing attorney since 1979, and is a founding partner of Watson & Watson, P.C. Pat is strictly a neutral, and does not offer individual representation in divorce. She believes never acting as an advocate is important to maintain her integrity and reputation as a neutral. Her law partner, Douglas Watson, maintains a traditional family law practice. Pat offers mediation services in the areas of divorce, separation, post-divorce, child support, alimony, parenting plans, complex asset division, paternity, pre-nuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements. Pat graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 1979. She has also served as a pro-bono Conciliator for the Essex Superior Court for over 20 years. She is a Member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, Massachusetts Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association (former Executive Board member) and is former President of the Newburyport Bar Association.
