As an Adult Child of Divorce, Jody has a long-time experience with divorce. As a Divorce and Family Mediator, her knowledge and training help clients facilitate the necessary conversations to navigate their divorce. Taking a child-centered approach when working with parents. Jodi understands the stress the separation process can bring to your family and can help you reach a compromise. She is a trained Mediator and also a Collaborative Coach.
Jody has been involved in the Boston community for over 25 years and also mediates LGBTQ divorces, domestic partnership separations, in-law disputes, child support, and parenting plans. In addition to her private practice, she is a mediator with MWI (Mediation Works, Inc) in Boston and Divorceify, a court-approved facilitator for the Parent Education courses, and currently teaches for The Divorce Center and MWI. She is the creator of “Honor Thy Children, Jewish Parenting through a Divorce Lens,” a 4-part workshop. She is a mentor for volunteer mediators in the Norfolk Probate and Family Court and a frequent guest mediator during mediation trainings.
Jody completed her Masters in Social Work at Boston University in 1997. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, The Divorce Center, Divorceify, Kids First Parents Second, and the Massachusetts Council of Family Mediators, the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
