Beth established her current law practice in Newtonville, MA in 2001. While her career is focused in law, her social work and psychology background have informed her connection with clients, child-focused family law work, and ability to finesse complex family dynamics.
Beth’s background and experience have provided insight in shaping creative and thoughtful estate plans and parenting plans. Beth’s estate planning practice also includes work with small or family-owned businesses, step-families, and same-sex families to create sound plans of business succession and estate tax planning. Her probate work includes representing clients through every step of the probate process, from initial appointment as Personal Representative to estate closure.
Beth strives to assist clients in family law and probate matters in achieving out-of-court resolutions, in order to help clients avoid prolonged, expensive, and contentious litigation. Beth is an MCFM Certified Mediator, mediating divorces, parenting plans, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, multigenerational/elder issues, and probate & estate matters. Beth also represents individuals in mediation, conciliation, or arbitration with another neutral, and is a Collaborative Law attorney for divorce and probate matters. Beth’s family law practice also includes adoption, birth family search, guardianships of minors and adults, and appointments as a Guardian ad Litem investigator.
Karl Topor, Esq. devotes the majority of his legal practice to Family and Matrimonial Law. He handles contested and uncontested cases. He does both litigation and mediation. He has acquired special advanced training in mediation and in Family Law. He has lectured on Family Law issues both on a local, state and national level.
Karl has been certified as a mediator of Family Law disputes in Massachusetts. He assists divorcing spouses as a mediator to settle their contested issues and disputes. He is also a certified Guardian ad Litem having been routinely involved in numerous contested cases requiring the need for a Guardian ad Litem’sinvestigation.
Karl also serves as a Parenting Coordinator in Massachusetts offering services in setting visitation schedules and helping facilitate other parenting issues for families.
Currently, Karl is currently President of The Divorce Center having served as co-president in prior years. He has practiced law since 1999. In addition to his Auburndale (Newton) office, he maintains a presence in the Framingham and Boston areas as well.
Judith Bowman has specialized in family law for the past 25 years. She now limits her practice to Guardian ad Litem appointments, parenting coordination, and mediation.
Dr. Lewis is a psychologist practicing in Framingham and Marlboro. He is an instructor for the Divorce Center, teaching “Parents Apart.” Also, he is a GAL and is on the Board of MAGAL (the MA Association of Guardian ad Litem). In addition, he is a divorce mediator.
Linda Swain Minkoff has been a practicing attorney in Massachusetts since 1987. Minkoff Law Offices, LLC, was opened in November 2009, and continues in the practice areas of divorce, custody, child support, divorce mediation and collaborative law, as well as estate planning and elder law.
Linda received a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern University in 1974.She received a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1987, and was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts in December 1987. Attorney Minkoff is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to becoming an attorney in 1987, Linda was a practicing mental health professional with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. She therefore brings unique skills and perspective to the often troubling field of domestic relations litigation.
Dr. Rohrbaugh is a Harvard clinical and forensic psychologist providing consultation and divorce coaching in collaborative law cases as well as litigation support, expert witness testimony and evaluations in child custody cases. She is a trauma specialist who served on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School for over 30 years, and has three decades of experience providing nationwide consultation, training, and court testimony regarding adoption, attachment and bonding, care and protection, child abuse and neglect, custody and visitation, de facto parents, domestic violence, parental alienation, PTSD, relocation, sexual abuse and harassment, social science research and psychotherapy, and termination of parental rights.
In her psychotherapy practice, Dr. Rohrbaugh specializes in survivors of trauma, alternative families, divorce, parenting, and problems surrounding sexuality.
